Parker moves on to college

Next in the seniority pipeline is lovely Parker, whose time came today for leaving her raiser home and moving on to her higher education.

The rain reduces to mist for the trusty volunteers to pound in everyone's "baby signs."

Formalities are completed, including preparing a special toy and delivering it to the dorm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then the waiting ensues...

 

Words aren't needed when an ear scratch is an option.

Yes!  Each dog has personalized slides to accompany her moment in the spotlight (unfortunately, projected in a very bright room...).

Once all the dogs are escorted to their runs, the morning continues with a slate of activities and speakers.  Jon and Cindy board the golf carts for a ride to the other end of campus for some much-needed puppy hugging.  On what is truly a bittersweet day, puppy hugging helps like nothing else can. 

 

 

Parker, you're ready to soar.  Know that your puppy group holds you close as you pursue this adventure.  Make us proud.  ;-)
