Baking for dollars
Jennifer's annual baked-goods and raffle-ticket sale was truly an impressive spread this year, bringing in well over $1000 for the cause (Walkathon fundraising). Jennifer and her sister baked many, many of the goodies themselves, and other raisers and friends contributed to the feast.

Mall meeting
This evening's meeting (in addition to providing obedience practice and discussion, as always), provided a chance for the pups to wander through some strip-mall stores to investigate.

Rally obedience
This morning's meeting gave us both a new activity and a new venue: rally obedience at Water Works Park in downtown Tampa. The weather cooperated and we had a great day!
Lots of well-behaved pups hanging out during down time and announcements.
Bart
Thank you, Linda, for preparing today's rally event. Kudos to all of the pups and handlers for a job well done.

Linda explains the guidelines for our rally event. Each dog goes through the stations, perfoming what is dictated by the signs. If commands are too advanced for the "baby dogs," handlers can substitute something the young pups know how to do.
Holding a stay in a distracting crowd. Devin is always up for some extra activity!

The smells of grass are a perpetual distraction, so we move into the pavilion before handing the dogs over to puppy-raising applicants for more work on the rally commands.

"Little guys" Snoopy and Effie do a demonstration of a "proximity drill"--bringing the puppies closer and closer while they maintain their composure.
The "big guys" execute a self-control exercise in which they must hold stays in close quarters.
